Built in 1874, The Merry Go Round is nestled in the picturesque hills of North Western New Jersey. This delightfully colored Victorian home contains a unique gift shop that has been serving the surrounding area and beyond for over twenty years with something for everyone. The tearoom/café is an elegant version of a Victorian dinning room beautifully decorated and warmly inviting. Lunch is served daily from 11-4, and consists of delicious home made soups, quiche of the day, fresh garden salads beautifully adorned and large open faced sandwiches as well as daily specials. Tea is served in individual teapots as well as cups, and coffee and cappuccino are also available. Our Café is open seven days a week for your convenience and reservations are not required unless your party consists of five or more people. Large parties are easily accommodated, and we can seat 45 people. Special menus are available to please everyone. Please inquire if you have any questions. You will find six rooms in our main house that contain a large array of country and Victorian accents and home decor as well as the perfect gift for that special someone on you gift list. We stock a complete line of Yankee Candles in all scents and sizes as well as their accessories. Anyone that is 4-80 years old will be intrigued with the educational and creative books by Klutz that provide many happy hours of enjoyment. The second floor contains a large selection of beautiful throws and pillows and coordinating accessories, as well as colorful linens and delicate lace. Pictures are hung on every available wall, in all styles and types, some with the perfect calligraphy verse to inspire and compliment. You will also discover our mens room containing everything to help create that perfect retreat. We carry a large selection of memorabilia featuring fishing, Bearfoot Bears, sailing, hunting, home office, golfing, cars and motorcycles, as well as police, firemen, occupational, and all branches of the military. Our Christmas room celebrates the traditions of Christmas all year round. There are special sections for cat and dog lovers, a bridal, anniversary, and baby area, and a room devoted to country accessories. A trip to our store would not be complete without a visit to the purple Carriage House behind our main building. You will find colorful wooden country furniture, tin and wooden signs, glass and ceramic accessories, floral pieces in all sizes and colors, lamps, and seasonal displays that help make a house a home. The second floor has a secret garden room to inspire and encourage our creative nature. There are many companies that are represented throughout our fabulous store.
